Basic Guide to Your Unancor Platform

You have just registered on Unancor and want to know how to get started. This guide will resolve any doubts you may have when using our platform. From the beginning, without leaving out a single detail.

Haven't registered yet? Here’s the link to take your first step:

REGISTER

Let's get started!

Table of Contents

Preliminary Step: Custom Registration

First of all, the registration will determine how you will use the platform. It is a very simple process where you only need to indicate what type of user you are:

  • Marketing Agency
  • Niche Site
  • Online Business/Blog

This will be very useful when personalizing the platform based on your interests and goals.

Once you have registered and indicated the type of use you will give to the platform, you can proceed to register your project.

Register a Project

The first thing we need to do when registering and activating our account is to register our project. Doing so is really simple and intuitive:

  1. Access the “New Project” button
  2. Include the name of our project/website
  3. Add the URL of that project
  4. Indicate the country in which it is developed
  5. Select the language
  6. Mark the main topics of our website in the dropdown. We can mark one or several, depending on the topics we cover.
  7. Finally, add the most important keywords for our project. We must remember to include one keyword per line in the box. That is, press Enter each time we put a keyword. (We can opt for automatic selection if we are not very clear about our keywords).
  8. Complete registration.

In this way, we will have registered our project on Unancor.

What is Affinity and What is it For?

Affinity is one of the most important sections on the Unancor platform. As an advertiser, you will have essential data that will indicate which media are most suitable for publishing your link according to your project.

On the main screen, we have a series of recommended media, where we are shown important parameters such as:

  • Affinity Level. This green bar shows us the level of affinity that this medium has with our project. The more green squares, the higher the affinity.
  • Spam Level. With this filter, we can know the degree of spam each medium has based on the number of external links it has. The more red squares, the higher the spam level.
  • We can visualize the types of accepted links in each medium: follow, no follow, and sponsored.
  • We will also have other relevant data such as DA, DR, traffic, number of keywords or domains. These modules can be hidden or shown at our convenience, from the little wheel in the upper right corner.
  • Finally, we will visualize prices and options: in blue boxes, the prices for sponsored articles. In orange boxes, we find the prices of links in already published articles, only in those media that accept them.

The Affinity Filters

The filters are a very useful part within Affinity and also the Marketplace.

Filtering correctly facilitates the search for the media we want to find based on our interests.

Thanks to these filters, we will find links that are more aligned with our strategy, which means they will yield results that are closer to what we expect to achieve with that strategy.

If we have clear parameters when filtering, we have the option to save our filters. This can be done both in Affinity and in Marketplace, and it doesn't matter from which section of the platform we save them, we will be able to use them in both once saved.

We can filter in the way that suits us best, marking the parameters in each case. We can decide on basic aspects such as country, language, or topic, whether we are looking for a follow or no follow link, if we want our article to be marked as advertising, the type of publication…

We can also search for those that have a series of data provided by tools like MOZ, Ahrefs, or SEMrush…among others.

Once we apply this type of filters, we can save them with any name we want to use them quickly at any other time. And remember, whether you save it in Affinity or in Marketplace, it will be available in both places for us to use whenever we want.

You decide how to use your Unancor filters.

affinity modules

The Affinity Modules

Within this useful section, we see that in the upper right corner we have a button called “Add Module”. Here we will have three very useful modules for our strategy:

Competition

This is a module where we add the URLs of our competitors to examine them. It is essential to put one URL per line, that is, hit enter after each URL we put. Always with the complete URL, that is, like this example: https://www.unancor.com/. Once the analysis is performed, we will see the results where we will find all the links that these pages have.

SERPS

With this module, we can check the best-ranked pages for the keywords that interest us the most. To do this, we just need to write those keywords in the pop-up box that appears when we select the module. Just like in the Competition module, we must write one keyword per line.

Once we have all the ones we are interested in, we confirm and wait for the analysis to be performed. When the “View Results” button appears within the box, we can see all the examined results.

In this way, we will know which are the best posts to include our links. Those that interest us the most, we can analyze them to request them on the platform or, if they are already analyzed, request them directly to ask for a link in them. If the medium is already in the Unancor database, the “add to proposal” button will appear directly for our strategy.

Import

With the “Import” module, we can analyze domains that interest us and that are not in Unancor to add them to our proposal. This way, we obtain basic data such as their spam level, traffic, and DR.

If we confirm that we want to request this domain, just click on “add to proposal” to have it in our “proposal” section and request that it be added to the Unancor database. If the incorporation is feasible, we will inform you as soon as it is effective. But if the medium rejects this type of articles, we will also let you know.

How Does Project Manager Work?

In Project Manager, we can request a personalized link proposal from our SEO Specialist.

project-manager-unancor

In this section, we will find our Project Manager proposals made, if we have already made any. Otherwise, the initial screen will show us, through the corresponding button, the possibility of making a new one with “I Want My Personalized Advice”.

Once we click on that button, we will carry out the following steps:

  1. First, we name our campaign and choose the project it will be associated with.
  2. We set a specific duration (3, 6, 9, or 12 months) or indicate that we want a one-time campaign
  3. We put our budget for that campaign, with a minimum of €300
  4. We choose the country.
  5. In the next box, we will indicate the target keywords, that is, the most powerful keywords we would like to rank for.
  6. We will also indicate the URLs we want to work on in our project.
  7. Then, we will add some anchors that we want to include in our proposal.
  8. After completing this part, we can add a series of comments that will help our Project Manager better understand our project and create a 100% personalized strategy.
  9. Finally, we will select how we prefer to be contacted: by email, by phone, or by Skype.
  10. And we send the request.
  11. Our Project Manager will receive it and work on our strategy, sending us the first proposals through the medium indicated in the contact section.

How Does Marketplace Work?

Marketplace is the place on the platform where we can acquire our sponsored articles and our links in already published articles.

As soon as we access this section, we are presented with a panel with the main media for publishing according to the characteristics of our project.

It is a screen very similar to that of Affinity, as we have the name of each medium and its main characteristics: Spam level, DR, Traffic, Keywords, Types of links…etc. In the little wheel in the upper right corner, we can add or hide these filters.

When searching for a medium, the top tabs also help us filter them by type of medium, type of link, spam level, and topic.

How Does Booster Work?

If we decide to apply a “turbo” to our links, we can do so from the “Booster” section. Once we click on it, we will find several parameters that we can adjust and add to our strategy:

1. URL to Work. The first thing we need to do is paste the URL of the article we want to boost. In this case, it will be the URL of the sponsored article we just acquired, although we can also boost other articles that interest us.

booster

2. Select Campaigns. Here we will configure our Booster to measure, deciding between different actions we can apply to ensure that our article ranks appropriately. We can choose one, several, or all available actions, as well as the investment we wish to make in each of them. We have the following:

  • Facebook Ads Campaign. An advertising campaign will be carried out on the well-known social network. We can choose an investment of €15, €25, or €35.
  • Natural Links Campaign (Tier 2). We can reinforce our article with manual links in the medium, with investments of €30, €50, €80, or €100, including the last two a link in Blogs/Media.
  • Non-Social Traffic Campaign. We can turbocharge our visits with investments of €10, €15, or €20 depending on the days and visits we want to boost our article.

Once we have decided which options to set, we can add to the cart or buy the Booster directly, in which case it will start processing to give that extra to our link. We will be able to track it from the “Investment” section.

How Does Tracker Work?

Tracker is a useful tool to analyze the most powerful keywords for our project completely for free. Keeping this in mind, we can go to the “Add keywords” button, and a pop-up box will open where we must include the following:

  • Keywords to analyze. One per line, that is, we put one keyword and press enter to write the next one.
  • Country on which we want to analyze the performance of those keywords.
  • Decide if we want to analyze the results from computer or mobile.
  • Once added, we can see how they perform on our website and if they are ranking as we would like.

We have information about those that are in TOP 1, positions that have varied…etc.

tracker

It is a good way to know the links and anchors we should use to enhance our link building strategy. Very useful information when buying a sponsored post or a link.

What Does Link Control Consist Of?

In this section, we can control all the links we have placed in our project, whether through sponsored articles or links themselves.

And the best part is that we have information on all the links on our website that we want to add, even if we have not obtained them through Unancor.

link control

To add links, the process is very simple: click on the “Add links” button and paste the URLs of the links per line. That is, we must hit enter after each link we want to put to introduce the next one.

In this way, we can know how many links are active, how many are in follow, how many in no follow, how many sponsored, and how many have been removed.

What Do We Find in the Investment Section?

This section is a clear summary of the links and Boosters we have in Unancor. In this way, we can control how much we have invested and in which campaigns that investment has been made.

investment

We will differentiate them into two large groups: those already completed and those pending approval. In the case of the latter, these are requests made that are still pending approval by the medium in question.

And if I am a publisher, what will I find?

Once you have entered your username and password, you will appear on your dashboard. This is the main screen of the platform.

Here you can find all your media: the active ones, which are already on the platform available to receive orders; the inactive ones, which are currently closed to orders; and the pending ones, which are media you may have requested and that our team is analyzing for incorporation.

You can add as many media as you have, and it is very easy to do so from the button that says new media. Then, a screen will appear where you must enter the details of your website: name, URL, country, language, topics, categories…etc.

unancor editors

Finally, in the right column of the dashboard, we have a summary of the latest orders pending publication in our media. We also have a summary of our published orders, as well as invoices, both pending and closed.

In the left column, we can access other functionalities of the platform. Under the dashboard icon, we have the Orders icon. As you can imagine, and its name indicates, this section shows us all the orders from our media, divided into two columns: Pending and Published.

In Pending, we will find all those accepted orders that are at some point in the publication process: they may be under review by the client, pending a correction on our part as a medium…etc.

In Published, we have the summary of all the articles and links that have been successfully carried out in our media.

After that, we can access the Billing section. Here we will find the summary of our invoiced orders on the right side. And we will be able to search for our invoices by date, name, or code.

On the left side, we have a summary of the orders pending invoicing, if we have any. If so, by clicking on them, we can create an invoice or transfer balance to our advertiser account, if we have one, to have balance and buy our own sponsored posts.

The last section we can access from the publisher platform is Statistics.

This is a very useful section that summarizes our profits by year and month. It shows us the media that have received the most orders, something that will be very useful to know if we have several.

And we also have a graph that visually indicates that we have media with more pull than others when it comes to selling sponsored posts and links.
