Brand Positioning with Social Wheel [EXPERISEO]

When we talk about brand positioning strategies, each person probably applies their SEO knowledge as they see fit and spices it up with a pinch of branding and a dash of link building. But positioning a brand in the Top 3 of Google is not a difficult task, especially if you use the social wheel trick.

Do you want to know what the hell I'm talking about?

Well, let's continue:

Social Wheel and Brand Positioning

If you follow the top influencers in the SEO world, you probably know the name Álex Navarro (who just launched a lSEO lab with 15 web positioning techniques that are quite useful and entertaining).

If you regularly listen to this man, you probably know that he always talks about the first links or the first link building strategy he follows in any niche: creating various social networks and placing the link to his new website.

As he has explained on numerous occasions, this gives naturalness to the new website, receives authority from social networks, and Google interprets it as a positive signal that things are going to be done well.

Perfect! We have that links from social networks are extremely important, but... have you ever thought about doing interlinking between social media profiles? This is what I call social wheel (in English, it sounds a bit more important, right?)

What is a social wheel?

Basically, it involves placing links from one social network to another, creating a wheel so that link juice is transferred and Google understands that all those social networks correspond to your brand or company name. It is a social interlinking.

Advantages of Brand Positioning with Social Networks

When a user types your brand or company name into Google, your official website will appear in the first position and the social networks just below. What are the advantages of achieving this?

More Interaction on Social Networks

If the user can easily find your social networks just by entering your brand or company name in Google, you will be gaining followers, although this ultimately depends on how you manage your social networks and how interesting your posts are.

Quick Contact for the User

If you do link building or publish content where your company name comes up, those contents will likely appear in the top results of Google when the user types your brand or company name. This happens because you choose authoritative pages to link to your site, and obviously, they have some power when it comes to ranking terms.

Many times, that content does not have accurate or relevant information about your business, or the hyperlink to your website barely receives clicks. Negative user experiences and negative reviews even appear on the first page of Google, and that, my friend, does not favor your brand or business.

You would avoid this problem if your social networks appeared in the top positions of the SERPs. Thus, when a user wants to contact you, follow you on social media, or check a specific promotion, it will be much easier because they will go directly to your Facebook, Twitter, or the social network you have managed to position in the Top 10 of the first page of Google.

Out with Negative Opinions

The more official social networks of your brand you position on the first page of Google, the more negative results will drop to page 2 or 3.

Don't you think that positioning your social networks is a good way to avoid negative SEO or comments that could damage your brand image? At least you will manage to push them to page 2.

If you think this social wheel idea is good, keep reading because I will tell you how to create it, how to give it authority, and even a real practical case. Let's go!

How to Position Your Social Networks in the Top 10

Placing the links in a wheel shape across all your social networks and profiles will not be enough. These profiles need authority to surpass other results that are already positioned in the SERPs and that show up when someone types your brand name. To speed up the process, I apply link building to my social networks with links in cheap newspapers.

Why cheap newspapers?

Because it is more than enough to carry out this strategy.

Why newspapers?

Because the positioning of social networks is faster.

Normally, what I do is access the Unancor panel and create groups of 4 in newspapers like Estrella Digital, Panorama, El Digital de Asturias, La República, and similar. Thus, each link will cost approximately 10 euros, and with 100 euros, I can buy up to 10 links to distribute among Facebook, Twitter, or the social network of your choice.

BUT THERE'S SOMETHING EVEN BETTER:

♥ NEW SOCIAL WHEEL PACK

Do you want to start your social wheel and position your brand with social networks quickly, easily, and at low cost?

Well, at Unancor, we offer you the Social Wheel Pack.

Get a link in all these media (in a shared group):

  • Panorama
  • Digital Asturias
  • Republica
  • Valderrueda
  • Informe21
  • Candas365

FOR ONLY 50 €!

There is no excuse not to position your social networks on the first page of Google.

If you want to activate your pack, send an email to [email protected] with the subject "social wheel".

Another good idea if you are investing in link building for your website and have a larger budget is to buy a unique article for 40 euros in one of these newspapers, request a press release focused on promoting your business and linking your official website and up to three social networks.

Oh, and don't be afraid to use exact brand anchor because the link goes directly to the different social media domains.

A Social Wheel Example [Real Case]

Next, I will show you how I started the social wheel for Unancor with the goal of positioning the brand with social networks, just below the main domain (and yes, above my blog article that is in top 2... ideas from my boss...)

Despite being a rather dead social network, the truth is that it still exists (and it’s from Google), so let’s take advantage of it. I’m talking, of course, about Google+. In the "About Unancor" section of the Google+ Unancor (have you seen? little link) I have placed a link to the website, to Facebook, and to various blog posts, as seen in the image:

Let's continue with About.me. Here I have introduced a text on the topic with a link to unancor.com and in the buttons, I have included links to Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Google+.

You can see it here: About.me Unancor

Or in this image:

On YouTube, I have done the same in the Unancor YouTube channel section. Specifically, in the "more information" tab, I have placed links to the website and the blog, but also to Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.

I will also use the Facebook of Unancor. In the "information" section, under "ownership and authorship," I have placed links to the website, Twitter, Google+, and YouTube. You can also see it in this image:

There are many more social networks that you can include in your social wheel to position your brand. Pinterest, Instagram, Ello... For now, I will try it with these four.

The next step once the wheel is created is to do link building to the URLs of the social profiles where we have placed links to the rest of the social networks.
